Marketing Strategy
Sometimes you know exactly what your business needs.
Sometimes you just know something needs to change. Both are good places to start.
Strategy is where we take a proper look at your business, your audience, your goals and what you’re already doing before deciding what should come next.
Because jumping straight into more content, more ads or another platform isn’t always the answer.
We ask questions. A lot of them. We work out what’s working, what isn’t, where the opportunities are and what actually makes sense for your business.
Then we turn all of that thinking into a clear direction you can actually use.
No 70-page document destined for a forgotten folder. No marketing jargon you have to Google afterwards.
Just a plan, a reason behind it, and a clear idea of what we’re doing next.
-
With a conversation.
Before we recommend anything, we want to understand the business properly.
What do you do? Who buys from you? Why do they choose you? What are you trying to grow? What’s frustrating you? What have you already tried? What’s working better than you think?
You know your business. We know marketing.
Strategy is where we put those two things together.
-
Good marketing needs something real to talk about.
We look at what makes your business different, how you’re currently presenting yourself and whether the way you communicate actually matches the business behind it.
That doesn’t automatically mean changing your logo or reinventing your entire brand.
Sometimes the good stuff is already there. We just need to get better at showing people.
-
“We want to reach everyone” is usually where we need to have a chat.
We work out who your customers actually are, who you want more of and what matters to those people.
What are they looking for? What problems are they trying to solve? What questions do they have? What makes them trust a business? What might stop them from choosing you?
The better we understand the people on the other side, the better decisions we can make about what we say to them.
-
You know what you do.
The question is whether everyone else gets it.
We look at how your business talks about itself and work out the messages that actually matter to your customers.
Not ten taglines and a pile of buzzwords.
The useful stuff.
What do you want people to know about you? Why should they care? And how do we communicate that in a way that actually sounds like your business?
-
More followers isn’t much of a business goal.
Neither is “go viral”.
We want to know what you actually want marketing to help your business do.
That could be generating enquiries, increasing bookings, selling more products, introducing a new service, reaching a different audience, building recognition or simply getting more of the right people through the door.
Once we know where we’re trying to go, we can work backwards and decide how marketing can help us get there.
-
You probably don’t need to be everywhere.
Instagram, Facebook, Google, email, TikTok, LinkedIn, paid advertising. There are plenty of places your business could be spending time and money.
That doesn’t mean you should.
We look at where your audience is, what you’re trying to achieve and what you realistically have the resources to maintain.
Then we focus our attention where it makes sense.
We’d rather do a few things properly than sell you six things you don’t need.
-
What are we going to talk about?
This is where we turn the bigger strategy into actual content direction.
We look at the stories your business has to tell, what your audience wants to see, the questions they’re asking and the information they need before choosing you.
From there, we can build themes and ideas that give your content some purpose.
It means we’re creating because we’ve got something worth saying, not because the calendar says we need another post.
-
Eventually, all the talking, questions and thinking need to turn into something useful.
We take what we’ve learned and turn it into a clear plan for what happens next.
That might involve social media, content creation, paid advertising, photography, video or changes to how your brand communicates.
It might also mean telling you not to do something you thought you needed.
Either way, you’ll understand what we’re recommending and why.
-
That’s completely fine.
You don’t have to hand your entire marketing operation over to G Studios for us to help you work out where it should go.
We can build the strategy and give your team a clear direction to take forward.
And if you want us involved in actually making it happen, well, we know a few people.
-
We’re not interested in making marketing more complicated than it needs to be.
You’re not paying us to use bigger words than you.
You’re paying us to bring an outside perspective, ask good questions, spot opportunities, challenge things when they don’t make sense and help you make better decisions about where your time and money are going.
Sometimes we’ll tell you to do more.
Sometimes we’ll tell you to do less.
Either way, the advice needs to make sense for your business, not ours.
